I LOVE GARDENING!!!...so much so that I have been having this strange craving and urge to eat dirt when I am working in my garden. Don't worry friends and family, I am NOT pregnant and I have not lost my mind. According to an article I found online, "intentionally eating dirt, also called geophagy, is a natural instinct and may
serve a greater health purpose." Another article describes its benefits. See:
abcsnews. Despite its benefits, I can honestly say that I have not tasted my soil...yet....Big smile...However, I must rave about my favorite potting soil... Edna's Best Potting Soil, which was recommended for my vegetable garden by a kind gentleman at the
Half Moon Bay Nursery. Its earthy fragrance has a way of transporting me to the islands of Hawaii and a Costa Rican rainforest. So, to all my fellow gardeners and "geophagists" (uh...that sounds strange...), hope you can taste ( I mean try) this Delicious Dirt in your garden!
